We're Now HACCP Certified!

 

 

We are pleased to announced that we are now officially HACCP certified!

As part of our ongoing commitment to delivering our consumers the highest possible service and food safety standards and compliances, Tedboy has undertaken steps to become a HACCP accredited manufacturer for cakes, breads, cookies and more. We are pleased to announce that we are officially HACCP certified.

It has taken us roughly nine whole gruelling months to make sure we have everything to perfection, with our elected HACCP team leader, Mr Johann to oversee the entire process. His role is to ensure the correct and consistence of implementation of HACCP system as well as update and coordinate changes according to the HACCP programme. We also have a department leader to manage their respective departments in accordance to this programme.

Let us briefly explain what is HACCP: 

Hazard analysis and critical control points, or HACCP, is a systematic preventive approach to food safety from biologicalchemical, and physical hazards in production processes that can cause the finished product to be unsafe and designs measures to reduce these risks to a safe level. In this manner, HACCP attempts to avoid hazards rather than attempting to inspect finished products for the effects of those hazards. The HACCP system can be used at all stages of a food chain, from food production and preparation processes including packaging, distribution, etc.

HACCP is an international standard defining the requirements for effective control of food safety, and it is built around seven principles in which Tedboy has gone through a complete and stringent review of all our internal practice and policies, procedures, training of staffs and keeping of records to ensure that our company:

  • Conduct Hazard Analysis of biological, chemical or physical food hazards
  • Determine critical control points
  • Establish critical control limits, for example, minimum cooking temperature and time
  • Establish a system to monitor control of Critical Control Points
  • Establish corrective actions
  • Establish procedure for verification to confirm that the HACCP system is working effectively
  • Establish documentation and record keeping

 

 

As a HACCP accredited Bakery & Manufacturer company, rest assured that our products are safe for consumption, including our packaging in which its materials are food-grade safe as it also undergo rigorous testing to verify the fit of its intended use.

Phew! Who would have thought that a small local business (like Tedboy) could reach this stage in 7 years! We definitely didn’t have this vision or goal when we opened out first store in Telawi Bangsar. We thought that we will be this homey and humble local bakery serving a particular community around the vicinity. :) We would also like to thank our team for sticking with us, and together help us achieve the unthinkable and bring Tedboy further than we ever thought we would be.

Guess what? Our dreams got bigger, and our mission and vision see even further now.
